These are wonderfully relaxing. I use meditation music to go to sleep, unwind and sometimes as a backdrop to everyday living. Much of the relaxing music is the same with flutes, electronic organ, piano, ocean waves, rain, etc.. Alex Theorys' sound healing music is truly different which is soooooo nice. It's very penetrating and unique. Not that there isn't other such sound therapy music, Alex Theory has just done it so much better than most. Nice Job Dr. Theory!

This is an excellent set. I am a Vibrational Healing Practioner and am always having an ear out for this type of Healing sounds. Earth is my favorite, though they all have a specific function. You can't go wrong with Alex Theory if you are looking for healing music rather than just you run of the mill new age.

Scientific Origins
"When lightning strikes the Earth’s surface, a standing wave with an extremely low frequency—astonishingly similar to that of the alpha/theta brain wave state—rises out of the Earth’s electromagnetic background noise and resonates in the chamber between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere."
Frequency: Approximately $7.8125\text{ Hz}$.
Discovery: Predicted and named for Winfried Otto Schumann in 1952; first scientifically observed in 1963.
Biological Impact: Analysis confirms many species, including humans, are positively affected by this frequency.
Deprivation Experiment: One experiment isolated human subjects from the Schumann Resonance for four weeks, resulting in headaches and negative emotional symptoms that vanished after brief re-exposure.
Musical Composition
"Ninety percent of the Schumann Resonance tones on Earth were created from acoustic sources: custom-tuned Tibetan and crystal bowls, a water-based instrument called the Earth drum, and a custom-tuned didgeridoo."
The remaining 10 percent were created digitally for frequency precision.
Synchronicity: While tuning the Earth drum in a water tub, the creators found it was already precisely tuned to the Schumann Resonance without adjustment.
The Global OM
This information inspired Alex Theory to use the resonance as the foundational tone for the Global OM, an annual worldwide chant of the sacred Om syllable launched at Earthdance International in 2007.
